How to Keep Digestion Strong

Do you want your digestion to feel better? I was uncomfortable for years until I learned to adopt these eating rituals. Even when we have an OFF day, these practices help us get back on track.

  1. Eat regularly: This can vary person to person, but your body responds well to routine, so try to eat on a regular schedule and your digestive system will get use to this.

  1. Eat in moderation: Eat smaller portions and allow your stomach some room to digest the food. Usually when our body burbs is a sign that our stomach is reaching capacity.

  2. Add spices: Incorporate spices like ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cumin, coriander to help stimulate digestion.

  3. Allow time to digest: Eat a few hours before going to bed so your food has time to be processed. A leisurely walk after eating is always a good idea to move things along.

  4. Drink warm liquids: Drinking a moderate amount of warm liquids during or before a meal will keep your digestive system warm. Drinking cold liquids before or during a meal can weaken the digestive fire.
